To get started making this recipe, you’ll want to gather these ingredients:
- 2 cups white jasmine or basmati rice
- 1 can full-fat coconut milk
- 1 1/2 cups filtered water
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Here’s How To Make My Creamy Coconut Milk Rice
Step by Step Instructions
- Rinse the rice in a fine mesh sieve until the water is clear.
- In a medium size saucepan over medium high heat, add the water and coconut milk. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, add the rice and salt and bring back to a low simmer.
- Cover the pot and let simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. After that, remove the pot from the heat and keep it covered for another 10-15 minutes until all the liquid has been absorbed.
- Remove the lid from the pot and fluff the rice with a fork.
- Keep in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
