To get started making this recipe, you’ll want to gather these ingredients:

  • 2 cups white jasmine or basmati rice
  • 1 can full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 1/2 cups filtered water
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Here’s How To Make My Creamy Coconut Milk Rice

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice in a fine mesh sieve until the water is clear.
  2. In a medium size saucepan over medium high heat, add the water and coconut milk. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, add the rice and salt and bring back to a low simmer.
  4. Cover the pot and let simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. After that, remove the pot from the heat and keep it covered for another 10-15 minutes until all the liquid has been absorbed.
  5. Remove the lid from the pot and fluff the rice with a fork.
  6. Keep in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

  • 2 cups white jasmine or basmati rice

  • Once boiling, add the rice and salt and bring back to a low simmer.
  • Cover the pot and let simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. After that, remove the pot from the heat and keep it covered for another 10-15 minutes until all the liquid has been absorbed.
  • Remove the lid from the pot and fluff the rice with a fork.
  • Keep in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
