Step by Step Instructions

To make the crust

  1. Place the flour, butter, sugar, and salt in a food processor. Pulse the mixture together until it resembles pea-size crumbles.
  2. Continue pulsing the food processor as you slowly drizzle in the ice water. The mixture should just barely start to come together.
  3. Turn the crumbs out onto a lightly floured work surface and knead the crust together just a few times until a nice ball comes together. Cut the dough in half, then flatten each half into a 1 inch thick disk.
  4. Wrap the pie crusts in plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours before using. *You can also place the pie crusts in the freezer at this point, pie crusts freeze perfectly! Just thaw in the fridge before using.
  5. After the crusts have chilled for 2 hours, roll the pie crusts out on a lightly floured surface, making two 9 inch circles.
  6. *Alternatively you can use just one of the pie crusts and freeze the other one if making something such as a quiche.

  1. Hi, I just found your content and I’m enjoying it. Quick question can this crust be used for pumpkin pie? So wonderful to find recipes without all the horrible additives the store bought ones contain.

    Blessings
