Brussels Sprouts with Walnuts and Balsamic Glaze.

Anytime I need a simple side dish to complete our meal, these Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Walnuts and Balsamic Glaze come to mind! I love how filling and nourishing Brussels sprouts are. To make it even more satisfying and add great crunch, I love the addition of walnuts. Top it off with an easy 2-ingredient balsamic glaze.

To get started making this recipe, you’ll want to gather these ingredients:

  • 1½ pounds Fresh Brussels Sprouts ends trimmed off and halved
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ⅓ cup raw walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey

Step by Step Instructions

Bake the Brussels 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400℉.Wash and trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts. Slice the Brussels sprouts in half. 
  2. Place the Brussels on a parchment lined baking sheet. Drizzle with avocado oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Then toss it all together so that everything has a bit of oil. Bake for 20 minutes. In the meantime, make the glaze…

Make the glaze

  1. In a glass jar with a tight fitting lid, add the balsamic vinegar and maple syrup (or honey). Place the lid on the jar and shake to combine.
  2. After the Brussels have baked for 20 minutes, remove them from the oven, drizzle with the glaze (to taste), add the chopped walnuts, and toss together.
  3. Place the Brussels sprouts back into the oven for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy!
