Brussels Sprouts with Walnuts and Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients
  

  • pounds Fresh Brussels Sprouts ends trimmed off and halved
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cup raw walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey

Bake the Brussels

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉.
    Wash and trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts. Slice the Brussels sprouts in half.
  • Place the Brussels on a parchment lined baking sheet. Drizzle with avocado oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Then toss it all together so that everything has a bit of oil.

Make the glaze

  • In a glass jar with a tight fitting lid, add the balsamic vinegar and maple syrup (or honey). Place the lid on the jar and shake to combine.
  • After the Brussels have baked for 20 minutes, remove them from the oven, drizzle with the glaze (to taste), add the chopped walnuts, and toss together.
  • Place the Brussels sprouts back into the oven for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy!
