How To Make Homemade Apple Cider in the Crock Pot

The details:

Step 1: Add all the ingredients for the cider into a crockpot. Stir and cover with lid. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Then mash the fruit with a potato masher or wooden spoons.

Step 2: Strain the apples and oranges into a sieve with a large bowl underneath to contain the cider.

Step 3: Pour the cider back into the crock pot and taste for sweetness. Add more coconut sugar to sweeten to your taste.

Step 4: Add the cranberries and orange slices and serve hot! You can keep the cider in the crock pot on warm mode. Perfect for cold-weather gatherings!

Tips & Tricks

  • I like to strain the cider twice to achieve the perfect consistency.
  • For gatherings and potlucks keep the cider on warm mode and garnish with cranberries and orange rounds. It’s absolutely gorgeous and such a crowd-pleaser!
  • You can add more whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, and anise to make a spicier version of this cider.
  • Substitute raw honey in place of coconut sugar for the perfect chilly season throat coat!
