Ingredients
  

For the Oatmeal

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoons ground Ceylon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar raw sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup whole milk or dairy free milk
  • 1 cup chopped apples peeled
  • cups sprouted rolled oats ”old-fashioned”

For the topping

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar raw sugar or brown sugar

Instructions
 

Make the topping

  • In a small bowl, 1/4 cup coconut sugar with 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Make the apple crisp

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉. Butter or oil an 8 x8 baking dish or small casserole dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, maple syrup, eggs, salt, cinnamon, coconut sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, and milk.
    Stir until fully combined. Then mix in the oats and apples.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
    Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar topping.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, until it is golden brown and the apples are tender.
    Let it cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.
