Slow Cooker Dinosaur Kale with Ham Hocks
Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh dinosaur kale, washed and chopped or collard greens
- 2 ½ lb each pastured pork hocks I get mine here: whiteoakpastures.com/ELIZABETH20
- 1 cup chicken bone broth
- 1 small sweet onion, chopped or thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- sea salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
- Remove pork hocks, shred the meat, and return it to the slow cooker. Then serve!We love serving these greens over rice with a drizzle of the cooking broth.
