The benefits of Einkorn flour

Einkorn flour is an ancient grain that has been around for thousands of years. It’s a type of wheat that has never been hybridized, which means it retains its original genetic makeup. This makes it a healthier and more nutrient-dense option compared to modern wheat varieties. Einkorn flour is rich in protein, fiber, and essential minerals like iron, phosphorus, and selenium. It also contains lower levels of gluten, making it a better option for people with gluten sensitivities.

In addition to its health benefits, einkorn flour has a distinct nutty flavor that adds depth to baked goods like pancakes. It’s also easy to work with and can be substituted for regular wheat flour in most recipes. When combined with grated carrots and honey, einkorn flour creates a delicious and healthy pancake batter that’s perfect for breakfast.

These are pretty good! They are more dense than a regular pancake and the batter is quite thick. I pureed my carrots in the food processor so my kids wouldn’t complain about the texture. It was a hit all around and I love how I was able to sneak in carrots for breakfast!
